Volunteering at NM

At North Marion, we believe that it truly takes a community to support our students.  We want to thank you for your interest in volunteering for North Marion! The time parents and community members devote to our students is what helps make our district great. We believe that families and community members are important partners in supporting our students.  Thank you for caring about our students and our schools!

Volunteers are needed all year long for opportunities like:

• Chaperoning field trips
• Classroom help
• Preparing Mailings
• Creating Bulletin Boards
• Working in our Libraries
• Supporting our Book Fairs
• And many other areas!

To ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, and community members, all volunteers  prior to volunteering must:

Step 1: Review the Volunteer Guidelines and Expectations and Mandatory Volunteer Training (under construction), and agree to adhere to all the requirements. You must read and agree to the Professional Code of Conduct before you apply to volunteer. 

Step 2: Review NMSD Board Policies related to Volunteering linked in below.

Step 3: Complete a criminal background check prior to volunteering.  The required forms can be downloaded below, or you can pick up a copy in your student's front office.  In the online volunteer application, you will need to sign that you have reviewed these materials and agree to adhere to all of the requirements.
