Promise of Oregon Spotlight: Yadira Romero Navarro

Being chosen as one of four school districts in the state to be featured in the Oregon School Boards Association's Promise of Oregon campaign is an honor. That honor includes our students being featured on the OSBA's website, including Yadira Romero Navarro.

The OSBA website feature is particularly touching because Romero Navarro shares a little about her life and her dreams. This is what she says:

I AM THE PROMISE OF OREGON BECAUSE...

I want to be an example to all first generation, low-income Hispanic girls that anything is possible no matter your background. I'd like to be an example to them by going into the journalism world and becoming a news anchor.
