CollegeBoard BigFuture Scholarship

Earn entries in monthly drawings for $500 and $40,000 scholarships by completing steps to plan for college. The sooner you start and the more steps you complete, the more chances you’ll have to win. Every month, BigFuture selects two $40,000 winners and hundreds of $500 winners who complete one or more steps. Opportunities open during junior year. 

QuestBridge National College Match

Match Scholarship Recipients are granted early admission to one of QuestBridge's college partners with a full four-year scholarship, worth over $200,000. The National College Match is a college admission and scholarship process through which high-achieving, low-income students can be admitted early with full four-year scholarships to QuestBridge college partners. The application opens in the fall of senior year with a deadline in late September. 

Ford Scholars 

The Ford Scholars Program was created by Kenneth W. Ford (1908-1997), a founder of The Ford Family Foundation, to assist students who otherwise would find it impossible, or at least very difficult, to obtain a college degree. Mr. Ford established the Foundation to help many worthy causes, but the Ford Scholars Program was always one of his favorite projects. Each year, up to 130 renewable scholarships are awarded to students from Oregon and Siskiyou County, California. Scholarship amount: Award covers 90% of unmet college costs and is calculated on the college’s Cost of Attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, personal costs, etc.), minus other grants and scholarships. Seniors have the opportunity to apply for this in the fall through March 1st. 

Chemeketa Scholars

Chemeketa Scholars covers up to two years of tuition in any field of study, including career technical programs. Students apply in the spring of their senior year. To be eligible, students must have a 3.5 GPA. 

Coolidge Scholarship 

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited college or university in the United States. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Students apply for the Coolidge Scholarship during their junior year of high school.

Gates Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential. This application opens in July and seniors have the opportunity to apply through September. 

ActSix Scholarship 

Portland-Salem's only full-tuition, full-need scholarship. Act Six brings together diverse, multicultural cadres of young people who want to use their college education to make a difference on campus and in their communities. This scholarship is worth up to $200,000 for students who plan to attend George Fox University or Corban University.
