Our Community

Willamette Valley picture

North Marion School District is a unique learning community located in the Northern Willamette Valley along I-5 between Salem and Portland. We are a diverse district serving three towns, two unincorporated communities of Aurora, Broadacres, Butteville, Donald, and Hubbard, and the Woodburn rural area between them. North Marion serves about 1,995 students in four schools.
Our patrons typically work within our rapidly expanding and diversifying local economy or commute to jobs in neighboring towns and cities. The economy is supported by agriculture service, small businesses, and manufacturing.
The school district is the center of community activities, is known for excellent academic programs, strong services to special needs students, a first-rate music program, outstanding athletic and extra curricular programs, and a commitment to integrating technology into learning. A dedicated staff works together to provide a warm and caring environment for students and families. The community is very supportive of their schools. There are very active parent groups, school volunteers and business communities that contribute to fund raising efforts and hands-on projects. School district employees and community members work together on a wide variety of projects to benefit students.
